The amplitude of each wave represents the amount of blood detected in your blood vessels, and the frequency each heartbeat. The height of the wave amplitude should be constant throughout for the best results, as shown in the above figure. In the event that this is the case, you should retake your measurement and make certain that your finger is directly underneath the LED lights and sensor.
