Kaito KA500 AM FM Shortwave Solar Crank Emergency Weather Alert Radio Yellow

Specifically developed for emergency scenarios, the KA500 has several options to power itself. These include the built-in rechargeable Ni-MH battery, which can be charged from the AC adapter, by hand cranking, by a solar panel, or by a computer, three AA batteries (not included), an AC/DC adapter (not included), and the dynamo hand crank, which not only keeps the built-in battery fully charged but also powers the radio even when no battery is installed. It is the perfect travel companion for both emergency preparedness and outdoor activities thanks to its innovative design and multipurpose features. The rechargeable batteries of the KA500 are removable, unlike any other emergency radios Kaito has previously produced. Additional battery packs can be purchased through Kaito's website.

The radio, flashlight, and reading lamp are all powered by an internal generator located inside the KA500 that also recharges the internal Ni-MH battery pack. Additionally, you can use the crank to charge your phone by connecting it to the connector on the back of the radio. Additionally, this radio has a USB connector that may be used to charge other electrical devices with the hand crank or to charge your radio with a computer. 

Broadcasts from AM, FM, shortwave, and NOAA weather stations can all be received using the KA500. The 7-weather channels are pre-programmed and numbered from 1-7, you may easily and comfortably tune into the stations by turning the switch, no more guess work involved. The KA500 has a special 180-degree moveable solar panel that can maximize sunshine exposure to power the radio or recharge the internal Ni-MH batteries. This makes it different from other solar-powered emergency radios. There is an extremely brilliant 5-LED reading lamp on the back of the solar panel that has been flipped up.
