This 42" Silver version of the Glow EZ Lock Beauty Dish series serves on subjects from head and shoulders portraits to dramatic full-figure studies, making it the ideal tool for mastering all shooting situations where quality counts.

A twofold reflector technology that softens the flash qualities twice is used to create the special beauty dish properties. The end result combines elements of both a direct flash and a softbox, giving the image a wraparound appearance that is similar to a softbox but with a more dramatic directed beam and more contrast. The white inside finish produces an output that is delectably soft, makes a subtle contrast, and highlights more details of your subject. A small, reversible opaque deflector cover is suspended concave profile out over the front of the light source in the beauty dish design as a means of shielding the subject from direct light. A broad spread of softer indirect light is produced as a result of the light reflecting off the inner curved deflector plate and flooding the wall of the outer bowl of the beauty dish. The result is noticeably less harsh than that of a speedlight and much milder than that of a conventional reflector. The deflector plate can be used with the convex side out to provide varying degrees of light dispersal.
