The Audio-Technica AT2020 is a budget-friendly studio condenser microphone designed for recording vocals and other instruments in professional studio settings as well as recreational projects. A 16mm low-mass, side-address diaphragm with a cardioid polar pattern is included in the capsule. The cardioid pattern effectively eliminates background noise and ambiance in the microphone capsule's off-axis regions. The ability to precisely duplicate sounds from any source is made possible by a linear frequency response of 20 Hz to 20 kHz. The AT2020 can capture loud sounds with a minimum amount of noise and distortion thanks to its high SPL handling and wide dynamic range. For precise positioning, the microphone has a pivoting, threaded stand mount.
