Over the past few years, we've paid attention to consumer feedback and improved the heater even further. The fan is the most significant improvement, followed by changes to the element, wattage, and thermostat placement.

• It uses a 300 watt PTC heater as the element. using the same technology that heats your car. Why? A PTC heater has many excellent and distinctive characteristics, but its compatibility with our fan is its primary benefit. Simply explained, it allows us to produce more than twice as much heat without adjusting the unit's size. It has a 50,000+ hour rating! (replaceable)
• Why use 300 watts? This wattage was determined to be the most effective for modest to very big homes throughout our two and a half years of testing (75 cu. ft). We are aware that more people are using our product for purposes other than dog houses, and it can now heat those larger spaces very, very safely.
• The thermostat has been relocated to the top. This makes it easier and more exact for the user to regulate the Hound Heater.
• Our filtered fan is exceptionally quiet (less than 15 decibels), has a 30,000-hour lifespan, and does an excellent job of spreading the warm, dry air inside the pet's home. (replaceable)
• You can install more than one Hound HeaterTM if the dog house, kennel, or water pump house is larger.

The 7 foot cable of the heater is enclosed by a heavy-duty stainless steel spring. The cord is shielded from even the most obstinate chewers by this spring.
